Replace Macbook Pro SuperDrive with SSD

My friend asked me about replacing the SuperDrive with a second hard drive in his MacBook Pro. I see a bunch of optical drive adapters on eBay. Is it as "simple" as replace the optical drive with an optibay/HD combination. Is there anything he should keep in mind when doing this?
