Hi everyone,
I currently own a Lacie external burner ("Lacie 1392 DVD-R/RW+CD drive LUN 0") that contains a "PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-106D"
Since this model of Pioneer is normaly used as an internal drive, I was wondering if I should expect having compatibility or firmware problem if I open the Lacie enclosure and replace the 106D (that supports only simple layer DVD) with a 116D (which supports DVD-R DL)
Here's what I see in the "System information" of the "Firewire" section (Sorry for the confusing terms, I have translates the text from my french computer, some of the terms are pretty hard to translate) :
and here's what I see in the section "Disc burning" :
Any problem I should anticipate (firmware flashing, incompatibility, impossibility to get a DVD-DL burner working with this specific Lacie enclosure etc...)?
