Hey guys. So my dad is going to get one of the new LED displays soon, since his old aluminum one is out of warranty and needs a new power cord (I guess several years of rubbing against the corner of the desk has made it begin to fray - I haven't seen it yet, though, so I don't know how bad it is). Anyways, he says if I can fix it, it's mine. So I was just wondering how hard it is to replace the cord? This is the one that comes directly out of the back of the display and plugs into the power supply. I've searched here and elsewhere and haven't found anything about this so I'm guessing it's probably impossible? Just wanted to check here first though.

I think you might be able to change it as it looks like it is attached in the same way as the iMac cord is attached.

I haven't tried to pull mine out, but the connection looks identical. I think that you will be OK if you try.
