Replace Trackpad Late 2007 Macbook pro to enable handwriting?

I was wondering if the whole keyboard of my late macbook pro 2007 could be replaced to the later model of 2008 which has a trackpad that allows multi-touch interface and handwriting.

Does anyone has some experience in that?

Not wanting to hijack your thread, however how do you do handwriting on a 2011 MacBook Pro? I want to do my signature without buying a graphics tablet. lol
