Hello,
I have a 2.2 gHz MacBook, and I took out the HD, and replaced it with a bigger one. I placed the restore DVD that came with my MacBook in, and I end up with a grey screen, and then the disc pops out. I have tried powering off with the disc in, and holding C (trying to boot from the CD). I also tried to put in the 10.5 OS software I bought when it came out. it tells me that can't be installed on my MacBook.

Currently I have a grey screen, and the restore dvd is in the drive sounds like it's spinning it hasn't popped out. Any tips, or do i just wait or?

I'm assuming you got the 10.5 media to boot then? If this is the case then all you need to do is format the new hard drive. To do this boot to the 10.5 media. Then go to the utilities menu and choose disk utility. Select the new HD and go to partition not erase. Select the partition scheme you want and make sure you have it set for the GUID partition map not MBR. This can be chaged form the advanced or options button i think.
