Macbook - intel Core 2 Duo, 3GB RAM.

So, I super duped my HDD to an external and swapped it with e my internal, effectively replacing my HDD with a new one, but with all the same data...

Now when I boot, it seems to take a long tieme to get to the login panel, after that, its really fast.

I wonder if the machine is looking for the old drive, then timing out and then using the new drive, once that is done, its nice and fast - 7200 RPM !

I looked at Console.app and there is an error message, but it doesn't look like anything major.

I will post it shortly, but any thoughts off the top of your collective head?

Check in System Preferences on the "Startup Disk" pane and make sure your new disk is the preferred startup disk

that's the best place to check - just highlight your internal disk and restart - should be much quicker to start ....
