replaced iPhone warranty doubts

Hi,

My iPhone warranty expires on November. There was an issue with the iPhone so I got it replaced couple of days ago. The new iPhone serial number shows it expires on Oct 1, 2016. Why is it showing Oct 1, 2016 instead of Nov, 2015?

Will the warranty be available until Oct, 2016 or it expires on Nov, 2015 ?
 
I have had situations where the warranty didn't carry over when I got a replacement device. Since I had AppleCare+ on the original, I called AppleCare and they got it sorted, but I'm not sure if they would honor the extra warranty it's showing. Definitely count on at least November 2015, anything after that would be an error in their system and they may not honor it.
