hello guys really need your help.

my old battery had gone far past the cycle count so i replaced it, i have changed the battery over and now it comes up as not charging and the magsafe light is green unless i close the macbook lid with the mac still turned on is there any reason for this ??

the mac info as below:
processor: 2 GHz intel core 2 duo
memory 3GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
MAC OS X lion 10.7.4

This is what I do to fix a dead battery - it's worked every time for me - maybe you could give it a shot?

- open the laptop and unclip the battery connector to the logic board.
- connect the power cable and switch power on
- after 5 seconds attach the battery to the logic board again, leaving power on
- battery should now start to charge normally.

Hope it helps.
