replaced my hard drive, dont want to lose everything on iphone

My original hard drive died so i had to replace it, i upgraded from 500gb to 750gb, re-installed OSX. now when i try to sync my iphone, it wants to erase and sync. is there a way around this?

Yes, they make software to pull the stuff off, I forgot what its called though.
