It was a hell of a job, I'm short the big cash, and I'm a fairly good & careful technician in other fields.

So I figured I try the hinge replacement on my G4 POWERBOOK DVI .

I followed the instruction take apart manual available from powerbookmedic and although I had second thoughts about taking the whole damm thing apart to fix the hinges (call it premonition) I did it anyway....
and all in all is SEEMED to go smoothly. I was Very careful I SWEAR.

So here's the thing... NOW the machine starts up. I see a quick white flash across the screen, but no display. The fans are runnin, I hear the drives.
If i let the machine go to sleep, when I wake it, for a Moment I can see the desktop, then its gone.

This has turned into a nightmare for me, fighting with the wife about buying the thing, the COST of used hinges (DAMM). now the friggin thing won't work.

Today I took it all apart again to check all of the plugs & wires. Found nothing out of the ordinary. Still same symptom.

Would some real computer tech take pity and narrow down the problem for me. Please GOD let it be a quick fix....
