I just bought a White 16gb iPhone and dropped. The screen went dead just black. SO what I did is brought it to the Apple store and told them it the screen just died out of nowhere. They gave me a replacement on the spot. So if anything ever really bad happens I guess you can just bring it to the apple store and you will get a new one or refurbished one.

Others have dropped thiers resulting in a cracked screen but the screen didnt go blank. I bet if you told them you dropped it, different result.

Depends on the way it went blank. Did the screen crack? User damage. Did it just go blank and no visible LCD damage? Manufacturing issue.

The screen wouldn't turn on but there was a big scratch in the upper left hand corner of the phone

All these people dropping their phones and expecting a replacement. This is nonsense. Nice that Apple is replacing them, but complete nonsense from the customer side.
