My A1185 battery has expanded, so much that I can put a pen clear under the right side of the laptop. I called Applecare and was told since not covered by the warranty (too long), no physical damage has occurred, the non-responsive touchpad is not physical damage, and my batch of laptops was not covered under the recall notices for this battery. The good news is that supposedly leaving the battery in is completely safe. According the Applecare rep. Hummm....

I am looking for a replacement battery in Singapore and the four numbers of shops I was given to call don't sell the A1185 or batteries at all. Applecare quoted $232 for a new battery, I have seen less than half this price elsewhere in North America, but need to find locally.

Does anyone have a suggestion on where I might be able to find a replacement A1185 battery in Singapore?

Thank you.
