I have a Macbook Pro aluminum (bought in mid 2009) that needs a battery replacement. I do not want to buy a new laptop yet because I am still very happy with the one I have. However, I need a new battery and would like suggestions.

Are there any cheaper aftermarket alternatives to battery replacements for this specific Macbook that are worth purchasing? Or should I just get a new battery directly from Apple? I would like to keep this laptop for at least a couple more years if possible. Please advise, and thank you!

Both OWC and iFixit sell batteries that are a little less then the Apple brand battery and they seem to work okay.

Just beware of the really cheap ones you can find on eBay etc.
