Less than a week ago I finally got around to replacing the microphone on my iMac. Today my roommate decided to watch a DVD on it and forced the DVD in on top of another disc.

The first disc is now lodged deep in the drive. I have tried every method I could find on forums and youtube to remove the disc with no luck.

The drive has been trying to eject the disc for about four hours now so I am going to assume it's dead or will soon be (this is my only computer so I have had to let this go while trying to find a solution).

I have two questions-

1. What is the name of the replacement drive I need to buy? I searched the model number I found on my Macs hardware info screen with no luck....

2. I opened the rear of my older G5 a few times, I am going to assume this is identical but does anyone know for sure?

Model info-
