I have a 250GB My Book Premium external hard drive enclosure. It looks like this and the hard drive no longer works. I'd like to still be able to use the enclosure. I assume I should probably buy another Western Digital drive, but could I go up in size? Is there someplace I can look to find what chipset they use to determine how big of a hard drive it will recognize? The hard drive that was in it is a Western Digital Caviar SE (WD2500JS).

Thanks

I know this is reviving a really old thread, but I did end up putting a 2TB WD Green drive in this enclosure and has been working trouble free for years. I like the look of the enclosure so it's nice to keep it working. Just an FYI for anyone else that has their drive fail. I know I'm not alone because there have been a lot of these on eBay with failed drives.
