I have a late-2007 white MacBook and need to replace the 120Gb HD (been running at around 10Gb free for way too log now  ) and have been looking at these and was wondering if anyone had any personal recommendations as to which one to buy, or even avoid (plus any associated reasons would be good) ?

Thanks

Hmmm, okay - thanks for that, good to know.

I'd assumed maybe speed and heat would have been factors perhaps but I guess it's negligible then.

Thanks again for the quick response

Would also like to know the same! Same situation, same macbook, same choices.

Am leaning towards the Western Digital Scorpio Black, but not too sure.

Also any opinions on the Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drive would be appreciated, as I have heard a lot of bad things about them, but also a lot of good, and the idea fascinates me.

I'm in the process of upgrading to the WD Scorpio Black 500GB. The drive seems to work well and seemlessly.
