I meant to replace my laptop hard drive a few months ago but never got around to it.

So I'm once again writing for advice on what's a good replacement hard drive for the macbook pro. I got mine (13") just over a year ago, replaced the stock 250gb hd w/ one that kind of sucks and I've had it since then.

It's a 640 gb, so I'm looking for at least 640, prefer around 1tb. I plan to buy a new hard drive within 2 weeks.

Also... what's good software to clone either the whole hd or the partition? I've had issues w/ migration assistant on another computer and I'd prefer to just clone the drive.

Thanks

do you really need 640GB? If you can get away with a smaller drive and maybe use an external for larger files, consider a solid state drive. They are much faster.

Yes. I would appreciate suggestions for a 640gb or higher drive. Thanks.
