Replacement headset cable with iPhone controls?

Hey guys,

I want to pick up a pair of Sennheiser HD25 headphones, they have a detachable 3.5mm cable. Is it possible to get a replacement cable that has iPhone controls/mic built in? Or is this support necessary to be built into the actual headphone.

Not too experienced in this area, any help is much appreciated!

I've never seen a cable itself being available with iPod controls.
