Replacement heatsink hold-down pins for mid-2007 Mac mini

I was wondering if I could use a metal screw that is 4-40 3/4 screw to replace one of the pins I broke in my Mac mini? Or if not I was wondering can I just use three of the pins instead of all four on the heatsink.
