I had my sons iPad Mini screen replaced at our local Batteries+ and I've noticed it fingerprints way more than the original.

Question: Do replacement screens tend to have some coating that needs to be cleaned off, or is it perhaps that the replacement isn't oleophobic coated? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

All iOS devices have a coating on them that will keep fingerprints off. They call it an "oleophobic" coating that will resist fingerprints. My guess is that the replacement glass wasn't made by Apple (third party) so it doesn't have this coating :)

unless you got an iPad Air 2 which added an anti reflection coating but made finger prints a LOT more visible which is a real pain in the rear end

Yeah i noticed the fingerprints on my air 2, but the anti reflective coating is absolutely amazing. I wish the next iPhone gets it!!
