Hi, I just got a replacement iphone for my previous one that had a messed up GPS antenna. I was just wondering if the warranty is extended another year or is it still only good for the original warranty. Also the phone they gave me didn't come in an actual iphone box. Are they brand new or refurbished? The Apple Genius told me they have never been used by anyone and they have been rebuilt.

The warranty is extended either 90 days from when you got a replacement, or a year after you purchased your original phone, whichever is longest.

If your serial number of the replacement iPhone begins with "5K", then it's refurbished. However, don't be alarmed at the word refurbished; all refurbished phones are checked for quality control multiple times,as well as the housing being replaced. Refurbished iPhones are essentially better that new ones.
