I just got my iPhone 4 for Verizon replaced. The new one is running 4.2.6. How do I update it to 4.2.7 so I can still JB?

I tried using a 4.2.7 ipsw that I downloaded and did the click+update, but it said this FW isn't for this model (or something along those lines...) I also tried click+retore, but same thing.

Advice? Thanks :)

You can't update to 4.2.7 because you don't have SHSH blobs. Update to 4.2.10 or it's not possible.

my guess would be to check if the replacement has SHSH saved first; check w/ Tiny Umbrella. If you don't have them then you have to stay w/ your current fw or upgrade to the latest one.

I've been jailbreaking for 4 years now and have never had to deal with blobs. (yes, I see them mentioned everywhere now.) I guess I'll stick with 4.2.6.......
