I have a 2008 15" MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and I love it. Since I have had it, in the past year I have had to have the screen replaced twice due to a weird yellow line that kept appearing, and I also have replaced the battery two times now (and I am careful to cycle the batteries and everything). I am wondering if they will give me a replacement computer or if they will just tell me I need to buy a new battery? Any opinions? Thanks!

I'm hoping for a new computer... haha. Of course I am.

I owned another 15'' unibody first gen apple replaced following
2 x screen
3 x battery
2 x magsafe
1 x super drive

with replacement i spent about 1 month with no mac.

no replacement under full apple care I sold the system I wonder if the new owner ever got a replacement.

I recently had my Macbook Pro (15" late '08) repaired because of the well-known 9400m problem under Apple Care. Logic board was replaced and, 10 days later, ram slot was fried. So I brought it back to Apple Store. I actually got a Macbook Pro (2Ghz i7, early '11) back.
