Quick question, has anybody received a advanced replacement retina and kept the charger that came with the new machine? I'm hopping I can keep it as a spare.

wait, let me see if i understand this right, you guys bring your laptop back for exchange and "forgot" to bring back the charger? yet they let you take the new charger as well?
why don't they just take the new charger out of the box for you owing them a charger? that weird!

I've heard about a few people getting lucky like that. I did mine over the phone through apple care so I'm not sure if I can keep it or not.
Nope -- I made no effort to deceive them. I pulled the computer with box/manual/charger from my backpack, went to hand her the charger, and she said "Keep it. Everyone can use an extra charger!"
Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised
