Hi there,

just wondered if I was able to use a screen from an older model (MacBook G4 12" 867MHz) as a replacement?
If not than what models can I use?

The whole tom of my Mac was torn off in a "crazy ex-girlfriend destroying my baby" incident. So I'll need to connect the Airport from the lid too.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Cheers for the reply but can't see it on the page.
Already have the workshop manual for instructions but that's a great page.

Can't imagine there's alot of difference between them.
AFAIK the resolution didn't change & the only difference was a switch from VGA output to mini-DVI.

Am going to bid & cross my fingers.

I clicked through for you....

It doesn't look like ifixit sell it as the same thing if you're getting an 867.

http://www.ifixit.com/PowerBook-Parts/G4-Aluminum-12-Inch-1-1-33-1-5-GHz-Display-Assembly/IF153-043

They've separate parts for the 867 and then the 1, 1.33, and 1.5 GHz. Presumably if they were interchangeable ifixit would sell the same part for all....

Had more of a look at it & found that they sell a display for "All Aluminum 12" PowerBooks" here.

Hope this helps anyone looking for help in the future.
Will post up the results after I do it/get round to it.

Cheers!
