I was trying to knock a dent out where the bottom cover would not fit on properly. I won't be doing that again as it made it worse lol. Oh well lesson learned!

Anyway, I am happy to pay for a replacement, would Apple be able to supply it? The bit I mean is the part that houses the logic board etc. It's a 2012 MBP.

I've dented a MBP before and Apple can fix and replace a damaged unibody.

However, I don't think Apple will sell the part for you to fix on your own.

Cost of part and labor is a few hundred dollars, so brace yourself!

Well I was thinking no more than about £200?

i have a dent in mine too. Do you think they will fix it for free if i still have applecare?

Final update, cost £160 ouch! But I am OCD and looking to keep this MBP for a while so was worth it for me!
