I just got a replacement for my iP5 which was the newest version with the new bands. I assume the new one is as well.

I restored it from my old phone and it says 3G instead of 4G like my old one did. However; I'm getting the same speeds...4-12m. I'm pretty sure I'm not in a refarmed area so the 3G indicator probably isn't accurate.

AND hotspot is enabled in spite of me being on the $30/month plan

Should I expect it try try and update the carrier settings OTA or when I sync with iTunes? Should I not accept it because I'm already getting good speeds and T-Mobile LTE isn't launched in where I live (Indianapolis) yet?

There is no reason not to except it..... It doesn't have any negative effects. It's like asking someone is giving me a thousand bucks, should I accept it or decline cause there arnt many nice stores in my area

But if you really really need your hotspot then don't update

I guess I'm wondering what it will do since its already giving me 4G speeds.
