I've been thinking about replacing my 2016 ntb MacBook Pro (baseline, 8GB, 256 SSD) because it is 1.5 years out of warranty and I'm starting to get worried about the keyboard. I haven't had significant issues with it but sometimes I start to feel some keys sticking (although they do bounce back) and that worries me about having to replace it down the road.

Apple will give me $600 for it as a trade in so thinking about replacing with a new Air. I am not a heavy user so either will work fine.

Am I being paranoid?

Replace keyboard under the keyboard extension program. But dont be in a hurry to replace keyboard. 600$ is not a good resale value honestly in my opinion for such an expensive laptop.

You can get it replaced as many times needed for 4 years after purchase date. About as safe as you can get. Gen 3 keyboards are not perfect either and as of right now are not included in repair program.

I'm just getting around to getting my keyboard repaired on my 2016 15" Retina 2TB, and the site seems to be broken.

The relevant links on this page: https://www.apple.com/support/keyboard-service-program-for-macbook-and-macbook-pro/ are all bringing up a 403 Forbidden page.

I too looked at the trade-in values to see about getting the latest and greatest. They were a bit of a joke.

So, the repair may be available, but there's no way to schedule it online.

That link works fine for me.

That page works, but none of the support links work for me. Even the browser on my phone, I have no way to contact support.

Oh, weird. They're blocking my home network! Do they not like Comcast? Or is it me?

I guess I can use my cell service to get in now

EDIT: It's not throwing an error, but it's also not loading, e.g. the general Talk To Us page: https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=cups
