Replacing 2G Cracked Screen? What do I need? Please Help

Hi- I was given a 2G iPhone that has a horribly cracked screen. It still works though and I can even touch it and it still works.

I've seen that I need just a need glass piece, then I heard that's not true and I need a new screen. And then I heard a new digitizer too. I'm looking around the internet and don't know which part to buy. PLEASE HELP. Thank you.

If it were me, I would be using Google for research

The LCD, Digitizer and glass are all one piece.

You're going to have to buy one of those parts from ebay or something and replace the whole broken component in the 2G.
