Replacing a ibook 12" lcd

Hi Folks

I've cracked the screen on my ibook 12" G4. I am looking to replace it on the cheap with an LCD from a faulty ibook. Is this the best solution?

If so can I get away with just searching for faulty ibooks with the same screen size or do I have to be more precise? So for example would a screen from a 12" G3 work?
