Hi!

So I have a missing keyboard key (letter m) from a 2011 MBP.

I do have another broken same-year same-model MBP lying around (thankfully) for parts.

My question is - how do I go about this?

I don't want to try to pull it out without knowing what I am doing.

Thanks so much!

I remove just the cap by lifting the left top or bottom corner gently with steady pressure until it pops off. It takes a fair amount of pressure. To replace you slide the cap from left to right to get the hooks under the catch on the key and then push down on the left to snap it on. After taking the cap off examine it closely ad you'll see how it is held on. There are instructions on youtube also.
