hey nerds. I have a macbook pro mid 2011 that I wanted to swap its hard drive with a SeaGate Expansion STBX1000101. I was wondering if anyone knows how to open this thing without breaking its snaps or damaging the hard drive(I meant the enclosure)

Why don't you just buy a new 1TB notebook HDD? You might break the seagate enclosure very easily and possibly damaging the HDD inside.

First of all: I have backed up all my data on this hdd and I just don't want to copy them somewhere else.

This hard drive has a really good read/write speed which I didn't see in other internal HDDs.

And this thing is cheap. I bought it for $69.00, which I just returned a 750GB WD 7200rpm ($88) to Amzn.
