My back case on my iPhone 3g cracked a couple of weeks ago and it annoys me slightly. I can replace it myself, but one of my colleagues said that replacing back cases can cause dead iPhones... I trust him a great deal but i'm afraid my OCD won't let me keep it this way.
He said that the actual board doesnt like being out.

I myself repair iPhones from time to time (mainly replacement digitisers) so I can do it myself, I just need to know if this is true cause I don't want my poor phone to hit the scrap heap :(.

Thanks

Jordan
