I will be refurbishing an early 2011 MacBook Pro 13". Will be installing new SSD and RAM. Will also be installing a new battery. My question concerns batteries.
Should I buy one of the $30 batteries that are sold on Amazon and Ebay, or should I buy the $100 batteries that are sold at OWC or Micro Center?

Batteries are a crapshoot.

If it was me, I'd spend more for the OWC or MicroCenter battery, because many of the cheap batteries (on ebay or elsewhere) aren't going to last very long.

But that's no guarantee that the -expensive- battery will last, either.

It seems like -none of them- ever give the performance or longevity of the factory-original batteries. But that's pretty much "the way it is".
