iPhone 3G, had it since launch, way out of warranty. Rear panel has cracked enough now that the power/lock button only works if I squeeze the upper-right corner of the phone.

Bought a new rear panel off eBay. Didn't realize at the time that the bezel is glued to the rear panel.

Question is, can the bezel be removed from the old panel and glued to the new panel? Or am I better off buying another panel with bezel attached off eBay?

And, before anybody says it. Yes, I'm planning on upgrading to a 4. This 3G is still very usable and I'm repairing it so I can pass it on to a friend and get him off MetroPCS.

I've never taken apart my iPhone 3G before I sold it, but I think it should be fine. I didn't know it was actually glued to the case though. Just be careful when removing the bezel from the old one.
