Replacing Early 2011 MBP 13 LCD

I was just checking out some guides on iFixit's page, and there is not a single guide to replace just the LCD or Glass for 2011 13" MBPs. They suggest you replace the entire display assembly, from front to back. Does anyone know why earlier unibody MBPs you can swap the LCD out, but you cannot on a 2011? I checked on eBay for a replacement LCD, and had no luck.
