Replacing Hard Drive in MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Model

Hello,

The Hard Drive of my 2007 MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo Model A1211 just died and I need to replace it.

Does anyone know if a 500 GB Hitachi 2.5" SATA like this one would be compatible?

Yep. Pretty much any 2.5" drive will work.

Please do not buy that hard drive. It is beyond overpriced. Any SATA 2.5" Hard Drive should fit, but I think yours needs to be a 9.5mm height drive since its a 2007 model.

I've never changed a HD in a 2007 mbp, but i'm sure ifixit has a step-by-step picture tutorial.

I have a friend supplying me the HD, so hopefully I'll get a good deal on it.
Also have the fit it guide so I'm set to go.
