replacing iPhone 4 within the 30 day period.....

Before i start let me just say im super OCD when it comes to my stuff.....

Ok so I have noticed an annoying bit of dirt/dust underneath the glass panel on the back case near the iPhone logo.

Im thinking of getting it replaced, i got it on friday so im well within the 30 day period to bring it back.
My question is, when i get it replaced will it be replaced with a brand new unit or will it be a refurb?

and also, will i have any problem getting it replaced? do Apple stores keep new stock in the back especially for replacements?

im in the UK by the way.

At this point, prob refurb
 
i've gotten two refurbed phones as replacement and they were 100% flawless.

But OP I doubt they'll just give you one BNIB for dust specs under the back no less . The most you'd be able to get is a refurbed which, again, is just as good as new when dealing with apple.
 
lol why "at this point prob a refurb"? The OP is within the 30 days return policy, so if apple doesnt want to exchange his phone for a new one, he could just simply return his phone and buy a brand new one. I'm on my 3rd iphone because of OCD :D, I'm determined the new phone I got today will be a keeper!
 
how about if i just get a refund and rebuy one?

thats what im thinking, i only got the phone friday, so thats what 3 days!
 
OP as long as your within the 30 day return policy, then you have all the power with your phone. The second that policy's terminated is when you should worry whether apple, best buy, etc..will replace your phone for a brand new one if thats what you desire
 
thanks guys i knew there was hope lol.

people may open this thread and laugh but at the end of the day i have spent £600 of my hard earned cash, i want the phone to be damn perfect when i open it!

please someone reassure me im not being stupid here...
 
Nope, I know exactly what you mean. I have bad ocd when it comes to my apple products (especially my iphone 4). I want my phone to absolutely perfect
 
good, will phone the shop tomorrow and see where i stand in terms of if they have any brand new units in the stockroom for situations like mine.....i can only hope. Already had to wait 2 weeks for this thing, dont want to be waiting again!
 
got off the phone to apple store, the guy said they will replace it will a brand new unit as its within the 30 day return period.

whether they have any in stock tonight is another issue altogether......but the guy said they have a decent amount in stock, so i can only hope.
