Nope. No other way that I know of. Back in the day you could use garage band to make the ringtones from music..

Check out the App Store there are numerous app’s that create ringtones.

Well, as this thread was resurrected and someone will still ask this in future - just use iMazing. Ringtones can be imported with free version, supports mp3 and has no 30 sec limit for tracks as with GarageBand.
