Hi all

I have an "Early 2008" model MBP. Under battery condition, it says that I need to replace the battery soon. I have apple care, but when I called apple, they said that I have "used up" the battery, and that I would need to purchase a new one. Where do you guys suggest I buy a new battery from? If I buy the battery from apple, it will cost $130. For what it's worth, the reviews on the site aren't good, and it only has Two Stars. Is there a cheaper place to buy an official apple battery? Are there any reliable / trustworthy third party manufacturers that you would recommend?

thanks, bjb

You need to find out your cycles and your current battery capacity by using coconut battery. then go in to a apple store and find out if your battery is faulty.
