Recently the keyboard on my 15 inch non-unibody macbook pro stopped working. Well, not the whole keyboard, just the 1,q,a,z,and delete keys. Any suggestions on what this could be? The apple store wants to charge me 45 for a new keyboard and 95 for installation. I know you can buy the keyboards on ebay and other stores, but how difficult is the installation? Thanks in advance.

Its a doable procedure depending on your technical abilities and comfort level. Make sure you have all of the tools before you start the repair.

Check out the ifixit site for a breakdown on how to disassemble the computer.
