Here's the deal:

The superdrive on my macbook pro died. I'm doing to replace it myself since its very easy and i have done it before, but not on a MBP.

The only thing thing worring me is, after I replace it will the MBP recognize the new drive and keep working or do I have to restore it in order to recognize the drive?

Anyone here who has done it before care to enlight me. Much Appriciated.

BTW, I'm buying a original drive to replace the damage one.
