Earlier this year, I replaced a nearly 6 year old Macbook Air with a 2017 Macbook Pro, low end model. I didn't necessarily need a Pro, but I liked the model, didn't feel restricted by the price and didn't want/couldn't wait to see whether the upgraded Air expected later in the year would be a good fit. And I feel like my decision worked for me. Until that model was stolen last week from my car while traveling.

So now I'm in the position of wanting to buy a new macbook, except we are much closer to a new upgrade/set of models coming out this time and I'm a little reluctant to buy a new model this close to that. So I feel like I have a few options and I thought I'd ask for advice. The only pricing factor is that I don't really want to spend much more than the $1299+tax I spent last time.

1) Just go buy a new 2017 Macbook Pro.
2) Buy a refurbished model of same or perhaps with slightly more storage (I felt like the the 128 would have been enough, but I found myself using more than I expected in comparison to the previous model)
3) Wait for the new line to be announced and see if I want to go with the newer Air.

Open to hearing thoughts or other suggestions beyond these.

You may have to wait a couple months, how feasible is it to be without the laptop that long? If you can wait, I would, otherwise I'd just buy new or refurb, whichever fits your budget and specs. I'd be real tempted to put out for a 2018 with the improved keyboard, though.
