So, I am thinking of replacing my 2010 13" MBA and 2009 27" iMac with one 15" rMBP with 256 GB SSD and 16GB RAM.
While it is clear what I gain, I also lose things too. For example, I lose a nice 27" display for doing development and other tasks suited for a big screen. I lose my 1TB of storage on my iMac. I lose a bit of portability vis a vis the MBA, but I am not too concerned about that.
So, what would be the best setup to make a rMBP act like the combo MBA and iMac that I currently have?
I figure I need a nice size 3.0 external hard drive ... any recommendations?
I figure a USB 3.0 hub is necessary so that I only have one cable to plug into the rMBP when I sit it down at the desk to do things like scanning, photo uploading, etc. .... any recommendations?
I figure I need a nice 21+" size display to hook up my rMBP to when sitting at my desk. Problem here is that the Thunderbolt display has USB 2.0 ports. That is not good .... any recommendations?
