The Golden State
Hi all,

I'm about to replace my MBP's internal HD with a larger one. I cloned the internal to an external HD using SuperDuper. Now, if I put the new HD in the MBP, format it and restore the SuperDuper backup, what will Time Machine do? Will it just continue as usual, or will a new HD lead to something changed in the file paths, causing Time Machine to back up everything? And if so, is there a way to get around it (save from doing a Time Machine restore, which would take forever - mine's on a Time Capsule)?

I did this exact thing a month ago and it did an incremental backup as usual. Cloning is the key. I did have to unplug and replug the drive into my router, though.
