I have a MacBook Pro (320 gb) and recently bought a MBA for travelling. My original intention was to hang on to the MBP as my main machine, and just put what I needed for work when travelling on the MBA - i.e. leave off unnecessary files and big programmes like Logic Pro which I only use every now and then.
However, the MBA is so snappy, I hardly touch the MBP now except for my large (150gb) iTunes library. Was thinking about selling the MBP and replacing it with a large NAS storage that I could access remotely when needed - I found this on the net which also has an iTunes server on it which looks like it would do the job.
So my questions then: is there a way of storing programmes I don't use much (Logic Pro, Final Cut) on the NAS so I don't lose them, and can transfer them to the MBA as and when I need them, removing them when I finish? I don't want to clog up the MBA's little hard drive, or slow it down with programmes I only use once or twice a year...
Would the NAS above be OK for storing my iTunes library on so I could access all my TV shows and films off this at home?
Thanks for your advice
