Hey guys. I was looking at the bottom of my new MBP 15 inch last night and noticed it was one solid piece of aluminum with 6 or so screws going along the shape of the computer to attach it to the rest. This is my first unibody MBP but if I remember correctly wasn't there supposed to be some sort of latch that allowed for easy access to the RAM/HD for upgrades? Do I have to remove the screws to do this now and will it void my warranty?

In addition to the screws, there are a couple of little tab-type things on the inside of the case that hold the bottom plate on, even when the screws are out. You'll feel a little resistance when you try to pull the bottom plate off; just keep up a gentle, consistent pressure and they'll pop out.
