Hey guys!

I have a Rev. A MBP with the 2.16ghz Core Duo with 2gb ram and upgraded to Scorpio 320gb hd.

My superdrive (the first 4x version) has decided to go crazy on me. Not only this, but I need the capability to burn dual layer dvd's for backups. I need to replace it.

Since I'm "newer" to replacing mac hardware, will any Superdrive work/fit in my Rev A? It has the original Matshita UJ-857

Thanks!

It's probably the safest to get the version that is designed for your MBP. A cheaper solution is to get an external drive and use that instead.

Of course it would be "Safest", but I need to get dual layer ability. I would assume, as its just a sata drive, that it would work the same, no?
