I have an old A1181 MacBook that's cracked all over. How difficult is it to replace all of the white components? I found all of the parts online.

The topcase is fairly easy and they're cross model compatible. The bottom case it harder and is model specific, meaning only a min-2007 bottom will fit a mid-2007 Macbook.

thanks, so I'm assuming it's possible and the board isn't glued onto the case in any way? thanks!

It all comes apart with screws. Just make sure you don't mix up the screws or force two things together too hard.

Take a look at iFixit's repair guides. They show you how to do everything correctly, and safely.

They're the best. And free.
But don't buy their parts - way too expensive.

Thank you both! Happy to know it's do-able.
