MP 6,1 Replacing the internal hard drive for a trashcan. Need your help!

I bought one of these bad boys to replace my internal drive. I was wondering if I could just use super duper and copy my drive to this one and replace it with the old one? Will that work? Also should I buy their enclosure or are there cheaper adapter or hub? If so do you know of any that will work with this sort of drive connection?

You can use Carbon Copy Cloner. Back up the internal drive to any external drive. Then copy the external drive to the new internal drive.

I'm not familiar with this particular drive, but be aware that your 2013 Mac Pro will not be able to update its firmware (an important part of security and functionality updates) with most 3rd-party SSDs installed. If you install a new SSD, you should keep the original SSD on hand and you must reinstall it in the Mac in order for system firmware updates to install correctly. You don't need to do this after every single update, but it's prudent to do this at least once in a while to keep your firmware up to date.

You only can update MP6,1 firmware if you have the Apple OEM SSD installed, don't need to be the original from factory, any Apple OEM MP6,1 compatible SSD will work. It's not know why Apple did it this way, maybe a security feature or a integrity check, whatever. Every time Apple releases a new...

Edit: I'm wrong. It seems this limitation was removed around BootROM version 130.0.0.0 and is (thankfully) no longer a problem. See post by @mikas below.

About cloning, it might depend a little bit of your OS version too. CCC seems to work with Intel Macs and Big Sur to make bootable MacOS clones. At first there were some problems with it, and I am not sure if some fiddling is still required to make a CCC clone bootable. Please read links below if you are on Big Sur:
